I hope you are all enjoying the brighter if not cooler weather!

I have been away the past couple of weeks and have spent this week catching up on things. Today we had a very good and productive meeting with one of our business partners DP World.

It was good to sit and discuss a number of ways in which DP World can support us in our work, and we in turn can offer DP World our Business Partner recognition. 

This week we have a group from DP World working in our Warehouse to help store a pallet of Jam that we have just purchased and help sort and store some of our recent donations. 

We were able to present Kelly and her team a plaque of recognition for the help and generosity and we also discussed other ways in which DP World can support us in our work.

Our centres have remained busy with us serving 650 people through April 2026, which is a 3% increase on April 2025. This despite the increase to the living wage and the lifting of the two child benefit cap. This continues to demonstrate that there still a need for our vital work despite all the efforts

As the demand continues and donations are down by 20%!, we are now on some of our most basic items:.

These items are:

Tinned Meat (Spaghetti Bolognese, Curry, Stews, Hot Dogs etc)
Squash
Long Life Milk
Custard
Desserts (Rice Pudding, Jelly, Sponge Puddings)

We really value your support with any donations whether it be by a financial donation or a food donation, we really do appreciate any donation, however large or small, as the saying goes. "Every Little Helps" It all goes towards our work seeking to bless the community of Thurrock
